No, this is not a government site. CPDP is a project of the Invisible Institute. We are an independent non-profit organization. All of the information is collected from the government (Chicago Police Department, City of Chicago, Civilian Office of Police Accountability) on behalf of the public through Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) requests and litigation.
