CPDP does not require you to provide any personal information, but you may provide personal information (for example your email address) and we promise to handle that information with consideration for your privacy.

If you submit a request for documents that are not already available, then we will ask for your email address and we will only use this information to send you a notification message when new documents become available. This information is stored securely in our application’s Postgres database and the record will not expire unless requested.

If you initiate a conversation through the live chat bubble in the lower right corner of the screen, then we will ask for your email address and we will only use this information to follow up on the conversation that you initiated. This information is stored securely by a third-party service (intercom.com) and will not expire unless requested.

If you create a pinboard, then any information you save in the pinboard (for example: its title, its description, its contents) will be saved in our database with a unique ID/URL that is visible in your web browser’s address bar. This information is stored securely in our application’s Postgres database and does not expire. If you share this URL/address, then anyone who you share it with will see the pinboard you have created and may make their own version of it. The unique addresses of any pinboards that you have created or accessed may be saved in your browser history or other local storage on your computer. We do not link your pinboard session history to any personally identifiable information in our database.

If you interact with @CPDPbot on Twitter, then any tweets addressed to @CPDPbot will be received by our application and stored securely in our application’s Postgres database.

If you would like to request to have your information deleted, then please email tech@invisibleinstitute.com

If we are legally required to disclose your information, such as in response to a judicial order or subpoena, we will notify you before we do so.

We use Google Analytics and Clicky analytics and we may use cookies, local storage, or comparable tracking technologies.
